The basic principal of fhe new chemical course is to help the students to develop an all-round scientific literacy voluntarily, which is also the key theory and highest pursuit of values. The relationship between modern science and technology is restriction as well as promotion. On one hand, modern science depends on the developments and needs of technology to some extent. The so-called technology-science reflects such an influence of technology on science. However,on the other hand,modern technology depends on the development and application of science on the larger degree. The so-called science-technology reflects the great influence of science on the advancement of technology. Modern scientific literacy requires the abilites not only to obtain some knowledge of science but also to use,control,evaluate and understand technology. Moreover, according to technological character and the relationship between technology and society ,the ability can be use to technological design. An ability which anwers all the requirements mentioned above could be called scientific literacy. Modern science education features the importance of technological education, at the meanwhile which keeps the contact and differentiation between them. It is as the same important to cultivate both the student'scientific literacy and technological literacy. However, the influence of exam-oriented education and the backward education principal cause the result of a long-time ignorance of present Senior teachers for the technological education, which is not good for the teaching of the new course and advancement in students'qualities.The paper aims at a research and analysis on the technological theory abilities and knowledge of the the high school chemical teachers of Jilin City as well as the views of theirs to the textbook on hand and the practical teaching activities.From the research and analysis, the paper shows the first-hand documents of the technological education owned by the chemical teachers in order to find out the distance from the new course reforms and give proper advices and solutions.
