21st century is the epoch of intellectual economy, and also a century with creativity. The essence and core of intellectual economy is creativity. Facing 21st century, the biggest problem we face is how to develop people's creativity and bring latent ability into full play. To rejuvenate State, the first thing is to rejuvenate education. Facing the challenges of intellectual economy, an important task we face is to pursue quality education and cultivate people with creativity and practical ability. Education shoulder heavy responsibilities on cultivating creative spirit and talented people.Comrade Jiang Zemin pointed out on the 3rd National Education Conference: Education is the major field of knowledge updating,propagate and application, and also the cradle of cultivating talented people with creative power."The key of creativity is people, and people's cultivation depends on education. In intellectual economy epoch, education will play an important role in developing our country. Education in 21st century will keep a person's initiative spirit and creative power."Cultivating people with creative power is the demand of the epoch and an important task of making education face future.Chinese course made great contribution to the cultivation of talented people in the past. So with the entering of 21st century, we should attach more importance on educating and cultivating creativity in teaching to accomplish the mission of"teaching and cultivating people."The academic paper based on the previous researches and combined with my own Chinese teaching experience. It mainly discussed some ways and methods of cultivating students'creative power in Chinese course teaching. The content is mainly on why we should cultivate students'creative power and how to cultivate. The key of the paper is to affirm its research and practical values.
