EQ And Motivation Training In The Art Senior High School English Teaching

The schools, teachers and students are focusing on English, which is one of the three basic subjects. The students in the art senior high school do want to learn English well, however, for various reasons, their English marks are far from satisfactory, so we can say they are the students with learning difficulty in English. Training their EQ and motivation to make them become autonomous learners is the key to teach the students with learning difficulty in English learning.This thesis first introduces the current situation of the English teaching in art senior high school in Panjin Vocational and Technical College, and put forward the research questions. Chapter one, beginning with the definitions of the students with learning difficult, EQ and motivation, analyses the causes of the students in art senior high school becoming the students with learning difficulty, among which the low EQ and motivation is a basic one. Therefore, improving their EQ and motivation is key and basic measure to solve the problems in order to make them become the autonomous learners in the end. Chapter two, investigates the EQ, motivation and autonomous learning of the students in Senior One where the author are working and analyses the existing problems of their English learning. Chapter three suggests some strategies to improve the EQ and motivation of the students in the art senior high school to make them become autonomous learners in English learning in the end. At last it reaches the conclusion and points out the problems worth investigating in future.EQ, as the key factor in the success of the talents, should be actively trained in the English classroom, especially for the students with learning difficulty, EQ training is more important. Having been stimulated their motivation of English learning and improved their EQ, the students in the art senior high school can get good marks.
