This thesis studies the self-exploration status of the freshmen and investigates the influence of intervention on self-esteem , ego-identity and self-conception. Based on interviewing with 50 freshmen and investigating on 500 freshmen coming from Nanjing Normal University , Nanjing Xiaozhuang College and Nanjing College of Population Program Management ,this research gains the primary data. Then choosing two classes from NCPPM as the basic subjects, the research carries out some interventions with these subjects for a semester. Self-esteem scale, Ego-identity test and some standard psychological tests are used as research instrument. The results reveal that:(1) The freshmen are knowing little about themselves, while they are eager to be helped;(2) After series of guidance , the subjects are knowing more about themselves;(3) class-guidance are proved to be valid to self-exploration.
