An Analysis And Evaluation Of BJNU-edition New Mathematics Textbook In Junior High School

With the new reform of foundational education's courses starting in China, the diversification of the textbooks emerges as the times; the textbooks according to the new course standard were published and tried out continuously. The analysis and evaluation to the new textbooks is a very important research field.The Experimental Textbook Mathematics for Compulsory Education, based on the China's mathematics'standards in 2001, was published by Beijing Normal University (shorten by the new BJNU-edition Mathematics textbook). In addition to the experts from different subjects, the textbook's compilation group includes the teachers of special classification and the teaching researchers in foundational education who have rich experiences. The textbook was tested in Sep 9th, 2001. This set of textbooks is embodied the efforts of many principals and core members in national foundational education standard researching group, experts of different subjects, educational experts, psychological experts and teachers of special classification.
