In 21st century, with the initial beginning of the knowledge-based economy, the rapid development of technology and the geminate increase of information, the current pattern of educating can not meet the needs of the society in China any more. Aiming to develop students'abilities of gathering and processing information, gaining new knowledge, analyzing and solving problems and the ability of communicating and cooperating with others, China has undergone the reform of the fundamental education curriculum, basing on the current system of the education curriculum and the mode of educating.Problem-based learning means the study pattern that studying in a completed and meaningful circumstance of problems in order to gain the background science know ledges behind the problems and promote the students to develop the abilities of solving questions, studying independently and studying life-long, according to working in groups and solve the complicated and practical or authentic problems. It's consistent with the aims and principals of the new curriculum.Under the background of rapid expanding of information education, the conformity of the technology and curriculum provides great advantages for promoting the students'comprehensive development. It's also an effective and practical way to realizing the objectives and assignment of the reform of new curriculum.The purpose of the research lies in combining together the network teaching and academics teaching, investigating the possibility and usefulness of the PBL teaching mode in the network environment. In advance, the research will get the simple and effective teaching methodologies, providing some operating instructions and suggestions for the teachers in the front line of teaching and realizing the organic conformity of information technology and curriculum.This thesis is divided into the following four parts:The first part introduces the definition, features and basic operating process of PBL. Basing on these elements, the paper discusses the PBL's theoretical basis and its teaching values. PBL, a teaching methodology under the guide of constructing theories, incarnates the principal of"people oriented"of humanistic learning theories during processing the PBL. It has three characteristics: problem oriented, student oriented and a group cooperating learning oriented.
