Strengthening the reform of education and promoting the qualify-oriented education has been the common thought of the whole teaching staff, especially during this period when developing the socialism market economical system and realizing the modernization have been considered to be the strategic aims. A stable and healthy mentality is one of those important qualities one should own. So the education in mentality aiming to improve the mentality quality turns out to be an extremely important part of the qualify-oriented education. Besides, it should be included in modern education.My essay is about the study on mentality education in KS Middle School and the problems related found in it. The essay also analyzes the problems and gives a summary of it, aiming to improve the efficiency as well as set an example for the fellow schools in the study of mentality education. Meanwhile, I hope the essay can rich and complete the theory, methods and strategy in it.To explain my ideas from theory and practice in detail, the article is mainly divided into six chapters. Firstly, it tells the reasons why I chose such a topic, some basic concepts, the significances, aims contents and methods of this study. The article, on one hand, not only states the origin and development of the mentality education in European schools and what we can learn from Tai Wan and Hong Kong schools, but also introduces the theoretical results of the study, current situations and problems in mainland schools. On the other hand, it takes KS Middle School as an example, analyzes the reasons why the schools held mentality education as a project, and describes its development, current situations and the effect it has achieved. During the study, I made a lot of surveys and observations on the spot for a long time. What's more, I interviewed a great number of students and teachers who provided a great deal of information, which contributes to the latter analysis and strategy.Secondly, the article analyzes the current problems of mentality education in KS Middle School, such as the problems that there are no exact aims and standards of it and the faculty's ability and quality can not meet the need of the practicle situation; Meanwhile, forms of the education should be more various and balanced and unified. It also mentioned in the article that there are some other problems such as the lack of necessary instruction and supervising from administration department in education system, the tough competition in examine-oriented education, no clear distinguishing between special aspects of administateing and adjustment in this field, limits caused by teachers' lack of training and education in the field and their own level of mental health, the lack of support from families and society.Thirdly, the article gives us the strategy of how to strengthen the education in mentality in the new situation. It says that the education department should strengthen the concepts of mentality education, change the old attitude and improve the organization to study the plans and promote the evaluation systems with the aim to make all the students fully developed and be active to join into the project. At the same time, we should complete and improve the contents of mentality education in practice.Finally, I made a summary of the whole essay and raised some problems to thing about in the future study.
