There are many challenge of personals ability in the information society. Collaborative ability and information literary are more important for one person to live and develop. The teaching module of focusing on knowledge and teacher is difficult to suit the requirement of talents. So we must change our teaching style. Collaborative learning is the style centered on student, and it can improve student's cooperative ability. Because of the development of information technology, especially the network technology can provide support to collaborative learning, conducting the Web-based collaborative learning is the requirement of information society.The paper is based on the need of educational innovation and problems of traditional teaching. In order to improve the high school teaching and the collaborative spirit and information literary, the research describes the definition of collaborative learning in the environment of web based classroom, and makes a case study about high school physics. The research constructs a collaborative learning model in the environment of web based classroom including "setting up situation, inspiring feelings" — "thinking, orienting problem" — "inquiring based network, sharing and communicating" — " submitting product, revising" — " evaluating, constructing the meaning" . The researcher studies deeply on how to definite the learning task, how to analyse the learning goal and the student's role.How to set up the learning envirenment, how to conduct evaluation, especially how to analyse the teacher's role.The research has one case study in order to test the effectiveness and feasibility. There are 3 schools in Hebei province attending the test. After reading many conferences and interviewing with the teachers, the reseacher designed a questionare, used quantitive and unquantitive methods to test the effectiveness.
