Research On The Present University Student's Learning Motivation

Learning motivation is an important problem of educational psychology and learning psychology. Since 1970's learning motivation is becoming hotspot of the research of social cognition orientation both here and abroad gradually. Although study on learning motivation has gotten much attention in our county, there is little study on the university students. The conclusions through the analysis of the questionnaire to investigate the learning motivation of 579 students of four university in Anhui Province are:1. The mean value of the university students learning motivation contents from high to low is: seeking knowledge and being enterprising, pursuit of material comforts, small group orientation, personal achievements, fear of failure, social orientation.2. About 65.5% university students have a few difficulties in learning motivation, about 30.9% have some difficulties, and about 3.6% have serious difficulties. The mean value of the university students learning motivation problen from low to high is: too weak learning motivation, puzzlement of learning interest, puzzlement of learning goal,too strong learning motivation.3. There are marked sexual variations in fear of failure, personal achievements ,small group orientation,too weak learning motivation and too strong learning motivation of learning motivation problem.4. There are marked grade variations in seeking knowledge and being enterprising, pursuit of material comforts, personal achievements, small group orientation,intensity of learning motivation problem, too strong learning motivation and puzzlement of learning interest.5. There are marked technical variations in seeking knowledge and being enterprising, fear of failure, personal achievements, and too strong learning motivation of learning motivation problem.6. There are marked one-child variations in pursuit of material comforts and no marked variations in learning motivation problem.
