After entering the 21st century, the aging population of China presents a speedy development situation, how to cope with aging effectively should become an arduous task in front of Chinese government and educational circles. The proposition of "active aging" concept offers a very good theoretical direction for solving our country's aging population problem, so its central viewpoint "the participation" ought to receive more attention. Under the active aging theory background, this paper tries to research the problem of the elderly participation in society.The thesis includes six chapters:Chapter â… . Introduction.This chapter mainly recommends why choose the elderly participation in the society as the topic, then defines the main concept in this paper, and then introduces the meaning and the main research methods.Chapter â…¡. The theoretical foundation and relevant research comment of the elderly participation in the society.This chapter introduces the main theories which establish the theoretical foundation of this paper. Meanwhile, it summarizes the relevant research of home and abroad, points out the research's shortcoming of the elderly participation in society in our country.Chapter â…¢. The situations of the elderly participation in society in China and Shanghai.This chapter includes two parts, part one describes the national condition of the elderly participation in the society, part two discusses Shanghai's situation.Chapter â…£. The situation and will of the middle-aged and the elderly in Jiading district participation in society.This chapter utilizes the census data, reveals the state and will of the elderly in Jiading district participation in society from four respects.Chapter â…¤. Comparative research of Japanese Yamaguti country and Shanghai Jiading district.
