Tunbao People With Peripheral Minority Ethnic Intermarriage In The Modern Context Of The Evolution Of The Building Of A Harmonious Society

China is a multi-ethnic country; national solidarity and prosperity are related to national stability and development. The fourth plenum put forward the major issue "to construct a socialist harmonious society". To construct a socialist harmonious society, it contains the harmonious economic, political harmony, ecology harmony, urban and rural harmony, harmonious national relationship, etc. Among them the harmonious national relationship is not only the objective requirement of harmonious society, but also an important guarantee of building the harmonious society. It can be said, no harmony between nations wouldn't have the harmonious socialist society. Our country is such a country with 56 ethnic groups, how to handle the relationship between different ethnic groups has been highly concerned under national leaders, political leaders and each ethnic member. Cross-national marriage is one of the important indexes at the most direct reflecting nation relationships. The more number of cross-national marriages between different nationalities is, the shorter the social distance is, and the close the harmonious national relationship is. Tunpu people as a special subprime group are different from minority and other Han nationality in Guizhou, and they had drawn academia's attention since the middle of 1980s. The focus includes Tun history, Tun culture and Tun tourism development. In the backdrop "to construct the socialist harmonious society", this paper focuses on cross-national marriage condition between the Tun people and national minorities, and analyzes evolution of the relationship in the modern context from the situation of intermarriage. The specific details of this study are as follows:The first part is Introduction. We analyzed research background, research purpose and meaning, research methods and content, and some important concepts of this research are defined.The second part is the literature review about cross-national marriage, the national relations. Overall, the west researches on cross-national marriage, ethnic relations are earlier, and gained more abundant. Though researches of our country are less, these have got a lot of achievement. And research about the relationship between Tun and national minorities is sporadic scattered in some literature. But through the analysis on literature, we found that their relationships between each other were from against going to merge. For tensions between Tun man and ethnic in history, it makes few intermarriage phenomenons between Tun people and minorities.The third part is the analysis on intermarry situation of Tun man and national minorities under the modern background. Cross-national marriage is one of the important variables to measure national relationship. The study found that, with the influence of modern factors, intermarried phenomenon started between Tun people and minorities in 1980s, the rate presents a growing trend, and this reflects the positive development of relations between them. But the economic gap, education gap, and the subconscious mind from ethnic prejudice restrict intermarriage between Tun people and ethnic, impacting on the further development of the relationship between them, according to this situation, the local government should take seriously.The fourth part discusses influence in building the harmonious society with the intermarriage between Tun people and minorities. Cross-national marriage promotes harmonious ethnic relations, the harmonious national relationship is the basis to structure harmonious society, and provides favorable conditions for harmonious society: national friendly exchanges between the harmonious atmosphere, and the formation for the construction of harmonious society both provide a good social environment; National cultural traits, the fusion for the construction of a harmonious society provide an inexhaustible spiritual motive; economic self-help among Ethnic groups, common development, provide the solid material base for the construction of a harmonious society; the elimination in ethnic prejudice of the national unity, provide important political guarantee for the construction of a harmonious society.
