Being an emphasis on middle school Chinese teaching, teaching Luxun is also a focus of academic circle as well as middle school Chinese teaching field, which impacts on the integrated level of middle school Chinese teaching. As for reading courses, however, teaching Luxun is facing an embarrassing situation due to the anxieties it arose both in teachers and students. The serious problem has been the shifting from the anxiety in teaching and learning Luxun to rejection of Luxun. One cause that matters is that long period political education and Utilitarian interpretation, along with stiff classroom teaching mode have disorganized and even damaged the rich literary elements in Luxun's work, limit students' creativity, deprived students of self-consciousness and self-interpretation and thus enthusiasm and initiative. The only way out is to respect students' individualized reading and realize multi-dimensional interpretation of Luxun. In present reform of fundamental education, a new concept of reforming Chinese reading teaching is communicative approach, which provides theoretical support and practical guidance to the multi-dimensional interpretation of Luxun. The essay is aimed at exploring the connotation of this new notion and the realization of multi-dimensional interpretation through by means of communicative approach, based on the analysis of causes of embarrassing situation of teaching Luxun and the challenges it meets.
