Communicative approach is also called Functional-Notional Approach,which highlight students' central position and cultivating students' communicative competence.The thesis focuses on Chinese learners of Dongduk Women's High School in Korea,explore and introspect the application of communicative approach in elementary Chinese course in Korea.Through questionnaires,classroom observations and interviews with individual students,we can understand the situation of schools,teachers and learners,design and analyze teaching programs,and strive to improve the classroom teaching under the guidance of the communicative approach.Improve students'classroom opening rate and participation,enhance learning motivation,improve language and language communication ability.The thesis is divided into four parts:The first part is the introduction,which clarifies the reason and significance of the topic and the research methods,and expounds the theoretical connotation of communicative approach from the'linguistic and psychological basis of communicative approach,the characteristics of communicative approach,and the teaching process of communicative approach.Communicative approach and Teaching Chinese as a Foreign language(TCFL)part analyzes the literature of communicative approach applied to TCFL.The second part analyzes the problems existing and the feasibility and necessity of implementing communicative approach in the Chinese course of Dongduk Women's High School from the aspects of school curriculum,teaching materials and learners.In the third part,taking authenticity,pertinence,effectiveness,controllability and interest as the principles of communicative approach,this paper analyzes the role of communicative approach in improving Chinese communicative competence,and considers the preparation for the application of communicative approach in Korean primary Chinese classroom.From the introduction of real and interesting materials close to life,the creation of real situations,the completion of communicative tasks and the design of teaching cases,the results of the final oral test of students in the first semester and the second semester are compared to analyze and verily the effect of communicative approach on the improvement of students'communicative competence in Chinese.The fourth Communicative approach has irreplaceable advantages in improving students' communicative competence,but it also has its own shortcomings.Finally,according to the author's practical teaching experience,the author puts forward three suggestions on the application of communicative approach in Chinese classroom:to strengthen emotional teaching,to improve teachers'quality,to focus on communicative approach and to combine other teaching methods appropriately.
