Cultivation of various talents and creativity rely primarily on the development of education, particularly basic education. And moreover, teachers play vital roles in the modern schooling. They are key factors to cultivate qualified personnel for modernization and to improve the national quality. To study the composition of the quality of teachers and to find ways to promote it are the keys to the new curricular reform, development of knowledge economy, comprehensive implementation of quality education, and self-promoting of students personality. Against the background, the study pays attention to the relationship between teaching efficacy, motivation and teaching monitoring ability which are important parts of the quality of teachers.The results are as follows:â… . Teaching efficacy is not significantly different on gender, age, seniority, educational history, subjects and grade among junior high school teachers. Age and educational history are more important factors.â…¡. Teaching motivation is significantly different on gender, age, seniority and educational history among junior high school teachers. Gender, educational history and age are important influencing factors.Teaching motivation is significantly different on gender among junior high school teachers. The scores of female teachers are higher than male in internal motivation, external motivation, and total teaching motivation.Teaching motivation is significantly different on age and seniority among junior high school teachers. Score of teaching motivation among teachers in the group between 41 and 50 years old and the group between 16 and 20 is lower than other groups. Teaching motivation among teachers over 20 and over 51 ascends in a curve, but not at a significant level.â…¢. Teaching motivation is significantly different on gender and educational history among junior high school teachers. Gender and educational history are important influencing factors.Significantly different are total teaching monitoring ability, plan and preparation, presentation of teaching material, organization and management in classroom teaching, and verbal and nonverbal communication on gender. And the scores of female teachers are significantly higher than male. |
