The examination and enrollment system of the 4-year-degree university is an important part of the higher education system of the country. It is not only the breach, but also one of the key points and biggest headaches to the improvement of higher education in various countries, which has direct influence on the quality and benefit of the higher education. As the leading country of the developed countries, USA has set a shining example by its feature and experience on the examination and enrollment system of the 4-year-degree university. So it is worthy of doing the research on the comparison between USA and our country.This thesis is divided into four parts: the first part expatiates the goal and significance of comparing and doing research on the entrance examination and enrollment system between Chinese and American 4-year-degree university, which confines the specific objects of the research. The last part has expounded the apocalypse of our nation's 4-year-degree university entrance examination and enrollment system reform by comparing the Chinese and American 4-year-degree university entrance examination and enrollment system.The reform of the 4-year-degree university entrance examination and enrollment system is an advancing process, which should be based on our present situation. Through discussing and evaluating Chinese and American 4-year-degree university entrance examination and enrollment system, we could analyze the existing problems and borrow the American experience about the reform and development of entrance examination and enrollment system. The author put forward a few good suggestions and propositions. And that is also the aim of the research. As the reform is a complex process which involves many fields of the society, so the successful advancing and carrying through the reform demand the cooperation, participant and efforts of all society.
