Classroom questioning is the main part of classroom teaching, and is one of the teaching methods to get the aim of classroom teaching. Questioning, as a general way used by teachers in class, plays an important role in classroom teaching. The research into classroom questioning is of great significance and importance in reality.Through classroom observation and interview, the research aims to know and analyze the true situation of classroom questioning and teachers' understanding of questioning from effectiveness angle, especially, the teachers' understanding and self-examination to effective questioning. So that problems on effective questioning in classroom teaching can be found out and some effective methods and strategies can be explored.The main problems found by this research will be presented in the following: firstly, teachers' aim to questioning is not clear; secondly teachers' preparing to questioning is not enough; thirdly, in their concept, teachers want students to raise question, but in the course of classroom teaching, students hardly have any question to ask; fourthly, teachers are lack of awareness to entirely design of effective questioning because they don't have a sound grip of understanding to effective questioning.To get the effective questioning, teachers must use the effective strategies of questioning. Teachers must have a clear aim to questioning; teachers must prepare carefully and design elaborately for questioning; teachers must use effectively these strategies such as asking question, waiting answering, calling answering, feeding back, probing and guiding students to ask; teachers must self-exam timely; teachers must avoid some unnecessary questions.
