The Research On Issue Of Carrying Capacity Of Baoto City

Taking the issue of carrying capacity of Baotou city as its research target, this paper points out that it is necessary to research the issue of the carrying capacity of Baotou city on the basis of inquiring into the present situation, the problems and causes of the growth of Baotou city population, and builds up the interrelated analytical model to calculate,analyze and evaluate the quantity and the carrying capacity of 2020's Baotou city population, combining with the local resources, circumstance and the present of economical growth, applying the method of calculating by separated essential factors of the population calculation and the method of poly-objective system analysis in the research of carrying capacity.The following is the conclusions of the paper. Firstly, the research on issue of capacity is accorded with the requirement of the society development with its necessity and importance of the present meaning. The final purpose of researching the carrying capacity of Baotou city is to realize the balance and harmonization, to realize the continuous development; Secondly, Baotou city's economy is growing rapidly. The developing strategy of"Baotou Model"has won great success since which has been made and carried out in 2002; Thirdly, the population condition has its own striking regional features, fully reflects the characteristics of industrial city of Baotou; Fourthly, there are so many ways to calculate the condition of the growing population that this paper adopts the method of separated essential factors to calculate the quantity of Baotou city's population in 2020, taking the different birth rates as the basis; Fifthly, in the research of carrying capacity, this paper adopts poly-objective analysis to build up the analyzing model of carrying capacity, to evaluate the carrying capacity through the calculating index of HDI and HFI and through the building-up the calculating technological process of carrying capacity according to the different cases of birth rates, different GDP developing levels; Sixthly, the ways to deal with the issues of nowadays population policy of Baotou, and population present are mainly to develop the economy rapidly, to maintain the lower birth rate, to optimize the sex structures, to enhance the population quality, to perfect the social security system and to enlarge the fields of obtaining employment, and so on.
