The art teaching and culture of minority has the relation of mutual promotion and mutual connection. The art teaching has a function of inheriting the minority culture and minority culture is the one of important contents of the art teaching in schools. Enshi autonomy state has the resource that rich in art culture and humanities of minority. Since refonning and opening up to the outside world, the art teaching in Enshi autonomy state schools also have got certain development. For the varied reasons of history, economy, politics, geography and so on, the minority's art culture of Enshi autonomy state always present the frail state, the art teaching in schools has to be in a difficult position. On the foundation of full and accurate cases and data as well as theoretical analysis, the research is attempted to emphatically analysis cultural intention and the difficult position with the view of reality and development, to discuss the relationship between the art teaching in Enshi autonomy state schools and the art cultural of minority, to seek the effective way to suit the healthy development of the art teaching in Enshi autonomy state schools.This paper has firstly analyzed the characteristic of the art of minority in China, has elaborated the general situation of minority arts in Enshi autonomy state that established theoretical foundation to analyze the relationship between them. Then analyses the difficult position of the art teaching in Enshi autonomy state schools with realistic angle. The paper has put forward five kinds of difficult position specificly: First, the funds are deficient. Second, there is not enough attention to the art teaching. Third, the teachers have no high quality. Four, the impact of the university entrance exam influences the art teaching in schools. Five, the art teaching was puzzled by cultural discrepancy. In mentioned above, some are external and temporary, others are internal and permanent. To make the research concentrate and avoid vague, the paper concentrally discusses the relationship between the art teaching in Enshi autonomy state schools and the art culture of minority and make them have a proper development.
