With the development of the latest round of curriculum reform, Chinese is playing a more and more important role in cultivating a new creative and practical generation, as Chinese is the basic course which is most extensively applied and which has the most abundant contents. But the inborn limit of the course and low efficiency of traditional teaching methods have seriously affected the development of Chinese education. The author considers to practice Chinese extra curriculum is an efficient way to solve the problem.The extra curricular Chinese teaching activities are defined as a series of activities planned or organized, based on the interests, needs and abilities of students, involved students as principle part. The purpose of the activities is to help students get immediate experience and instantaneous information, enhance the students' interest in learning Chinese, develop the students' intelligence and personalities, cultivate students' creative spirit and practical skills and thus improve qualities of students and supplement the Chinese teaching.This text is generously separated into Seven Chapters. In Chapter One, the essay starts with the development and the requirement of Chinese extracurricular reform, expounds its background and significance. Bases on the resarch home and abroad, Chapter Two explains its meaning and characteristics, consisting self-orientation, practicing synthesis, opening, from the angle of theory and practice, Chapter Three talks about the foundation of the Chinese extracurricular activities. In Chapter Four the essay expounds the purposes and design principles in aspects of attitude, emotion, knowledge "-etc. Chapter Five mainly mentions the cultivation of the resources of the Chinese extracurricular inside and outside school. Chapter Six expounds the content design, activity form and guide strategies from the angle of practice. In the last chapter, the essay introduces the teaching methods and the way of critique, including its principle and criteria. Fillnally, follow the critique to a real case of the Chinese extracurricular activities.
