With the new curriculum standard promoting thoroughly, Chinese teaching methods bade farewell to the traditional teaching approaches, and is moving towards the situation of "hundred schools of thought contend and all flowers bloom together". With respect to the reading teaching methods, most of teachers have already paid attention to students' individual feelings, and have respected the students' different opinions in the classroom. As a result, students' reading showed the tendency of personalization and multiplex. However, these reading teaching ways lead the phenomena of the disorder teaching and the false open-type teaching in the classroom. The Chinese reading teaching seems to come to a puzzled situation. The key to get out of the puzzled situation is the teachers' correct understanding and guidance to the students' individual feelings.Based on domestic and foreign research achievements of Misunderstanding, and the background of reforming the Chinese curriculum in our country, this paper studies the characteristics and reasons of misreading phenomena in reading teaching assignment in application of the Misunderstanding Theory in hermeneutics. Moreover, in combination of practice in teaching, it also points out the right ways to solve the problem. This effort provides some feasible effective methods for the colleagues who face the same situation and also devote for the new turn of reading educational reform.The paper will be explained in following aspects:Firstly, it presents the general reasons of producing misunderstanding, andanalyses the concrete reason of one particular misunderstanding phenomena:thestudents' own limitation, the teachers' limitation, and the editors' simplification and classification about work edition.Secondly, referring to the two specific kinds of misunderstanding, the author proposes the protection and the stimulation of the reasonable misunderstanding, and rectifies the unreasonable misunderstanding.
