With the coming of the informational era and the popularity of computer technology, Internet is being widely used in various fields, including educational field. On the integration between information technology and courses, there are already lots of practical research and certain operable theoretical method. Considering the reality of Internet's launching into teaching, our integration between information technology and courses should, combining modern educational technology's trend of using internet and multi-media, use modern educational technology as a means and tool permeating through courses and requires a operable practical research depending on new theories hidden in information technology. What the thesis aims at is just to summarize a mode so as to apply it in future.The 21st century ,an informational era in which the human knowledge is increasing rapidly and the rhythms of the world societies are speeding up obviously, requires a higher personal quality. A new-course reformation with the purpose of building up students' complete personality is becoming a historical necessity. The author thinks that taking the new learning method of combining the net and multi-media trend of educational technology, that is, project-based learning by Internet is the way out to change current passive and single ways of studying so as to develop students' sense of principal, activity and creativity. The purpose of setting project-based learning is to promote students to form active learning attitude and good learning strategy, cultivate their spirit of creativity and ability of practicing, so as to fit the era's requirement to human quality, and to make the China English education develop continuously.Based on the constructivism theory, Ausubel's teaching and learning theory, theories of educational communication, teaching designing and evaluating, this dissertation discusses several aspects of the integration between information technology and English courses. It falls into seven parts in all. The first part introduces the present state of the development of the integration and elucidates the necessity and significance of the integration between information technology and English courses. The second part elaborates the theories on which this dissertation is based on. And the third part clarifies the essential principles and requirements of deciding task of project-based learning. The fourth part classifies tasks for English project-based learning and their contents. The fifth part puts all the above into the two practical cases of English project-based learning via Internet and has a summary. The sixth part talks about the educational problems reflected from the practice. And the seventh part draws a general conclusion of the whole thesis .
