The author finds in the years of the teaching of common selective teaching that the students'quality and ability in one class vary because of poster natal and innate factors. After a process of gym teaching, some students'mentality starts to change. Some become pessimistic and reluctant to study gym. There are several factors contributing to this. But we can not neglect the traditional teaching methods of cutting by one knife: the same teaching goal, the same teaching content, and the same teaching methods. The reality proves that sports are the independent activity, in which the students'personality and consciousness originate. The students are happy to show their ability and activity in order to realize"the need of respect"and"the need of self-realization"But it is the traditional teaching methods that neglect the differences between the students. In addition, much content of text books and limited time make teachers hard to treat the students according to their different levels, resulting in"mass teaching". That hurts the student's enthusiasm and make psychological barrier, which will produce the phenomenon of polarization and passive learning.In a class, those robust students with aptitude for sports have a sense of superiority. They feel that it is easy to fulfill the tasks of learning; as a result, they get proud of themselves and become slack in training. On the other hand, those physically weak students who are not skilled at sports will feel the tasks beyond their ability. The result is that they tend to draw back in low spirit for they cannot fulfill"difficult"action. It should be carefully considered in practical PE teaching to try best to make the student learn actively in order to meet the needs of different students, and to develop their personality so as to realize the education idea of"For all the students"and"Students oriented".This paper proposes the experimental research of graded intersecting teaching in gymnastic course for PE majors, in the hope to arrange the students according to their integral qualities and teach them differently, which insure the teaching aims suitable to their practical levels, for each new group have the students with similar state of physiology and psychology. In addition, teachers provide different teaching contents to suit the instruction to students'aptitude, creating an appropriate environment in which teaching and learning are interactive. The result of the experimental research shows : this method of gymnastic teaching in PE department of Teachers Colleges is feasible, and has been proven effective in improving the common selective gymnastic teaching as a whole.
