The feature of the 21st economy is the intellectual, which needs creation. The initialrequirement of creation is to be adapting at thinking and putting forward the questions thatothers didn't before. But in current chemistry teaching, teachers always pay much attentionto how to design high-qualified questions and guide the students to solve the questions(leading students to learn to answer), while neglecting to guide the students to put forwardquestions on their own initiative (learning to query), which leads to the lacking of awarenessof questions of students. The paper discusses the significance of fostering students, awareness according topedagogy and psychology theory. In this research, I specialize in the situation by means ofquestionnaires and talks with teachers and students. Judging by the statistics and analysis, Icarry out the causes that influence the lack of awareness of questions in the students.Combining with teaching tests I point out some practicable strategies to foster students,awareness of questions in chemistry teaching.To foster students, awareness of questions is to make students to have the desire toquestion. According to the investigation, at present few Middle School students candiscover and put forward questions . The following are the reasons. First, students don'tknow the value of questioning generally. So they have no idea to query. Sometimes, theycan discover some questions, but dare not to ask for misgivings. And sometimes they haveno chance to ask. Second, some teachers don't encourage students to query because of thelack of advanced teaching sense. They are afraid of wasting time and they don't want toface the depressing atmosphere when the students can't answer the questions and theembarrassment if they can't solve the questions put forward by the students. Third, thepouring into method in teaching is used popularly in Middle Schools at present, which laysemphasis on result instead of process. This causes the student's lack of enjoyment ofdiscovering. Teaching steps are so minted that students lose chances to query. The fourthreason is from society.Facing the reasons preceding, I put forward several strategies that we should obey duringthe process of developing the awareness of questions in chemistry teaching.1.To wake the consciousness of the students and lead them to query. We should tellthem the importance of query, so that they make clear that query is an important way tolead them to learn effectively.2.To construct atmosphere for questions and lead the students dare to query. Teachershould consider students equally, democratically and encourage them to discover questions,put forward questions.3.To set up question teaching circumstances, in order to make them query. There must bethe corresponding knowledge basis to assimilate new knowledge in students, cognitivestructures. Question circumstances can transfer the background knowledge, so the questionsemerge.4.Tell students the methods of questioning and lead them to be able to query.5.Teachers should face the students, questions properly.
