An Investigation On The Textbooks Issued By People Education Press In Accordance With The Chinese Course Criteria Pertaining To The Full Time Compulsory Education

The thesis involves three part: preface ,the results of investigation and my strategies to improve the quality of the new Chinese textbooks.The textbooks issued by People Education Press in accordance with the new Chinese course criteria pertaining to the full time compulsory education will finish their experimental phases, and it is put on the agenda to how to perfect them. So, it is high time to take a global view of these textbooks, especially their problems. The author choices the new Chinese textbooks issued by People Education Press ("the PEP" for short) as the aims of the investigation., mainly in accordance with the ends and the suggestion on how to edit textbooks in the new Chinese course criteria pertaining to the full time compulsory education ,and hopes her hard work would refer to all kinds of new Chinese textbooks.The results of investigation are as follows: the PEP are successful in a comprehensive study and a flexible study plan, and on the different degree are weak in other expects so as to has problems on the different degree. Firstly, the Chinese course criteria pertaining to the full time compulsory education (experimental edition) should embody some study ends. Secondly , the aim of a comprehensive study in primary school in the Chinese course criteria pertaining to the full time compulsory education (experimental edition ) is unreasonable. Thirdly, the PEP are absent in writing's speed and the ways of speaking. Fourthly, the PEP need to be improved in many expects. On bringing out the students' interest about mother language , multiplying reading methods and showing ways , the editor should refer to the foreign mother — language textbooks and make our own mother — language textbooks national temperament . However, the editor should work hard at widely designing all kinds of verbal communication, deeply developing the ability in thinking ,imaging and creating, closely associating textbooks with students' real world and imaginary world, and reasonably assembling all lessons as a whole. Fifthly, the PEP underlies an old shortcoming, namely, many knowledge are veiled and then the teacher are depended unnecessarily.The last part is strategies to improve the quality of the PEP. They include two ways, one is the PEP proper, the other is out of the PEP.
