This article makes an investigation and statistical analysis on current situation of physical education and health curriculum reform in Xiamen city, sets forth the factors restricting the reform of physical education and health curriculum in Xiamen city, and provides solutions to the problems accordingly.The research results of the article are: ①Education administrators in Xiamen pay much attention to the physical education and health curriculum reform. The ministry of education of Xiamen established a leading group of experimental reform of curriculum, in which many famous experts engaged. Through three years' curriculum reform, the group has made certain progress; ②Although some progress has been made in curriculum reform, many physical education teachers are somewhat unqualified to implement the new criterion in terms of educational idea, knowledge structure, and ability. Some teachers take part in physical education curriculum reform passively and has not enough enthusiasm. All kinds of teaching program has been changed only in form, but not in essence. Teaching practice is not in accordance with the teaching plan; some teachers have utilitarianism, and public classes are not in accord with usual classes. Some schools has adopted the teaching administration mechanism which has achieved great teaching results, but other schools has used old teaching methods and changed little. Lack of sport area confines the development of curriculum reform;③Students have changed their attitudes more or less and have been no more tired of physical education. The reform inspires the student's enthusiasm in study, and the class environment is more alive. ④There are seven factors which restrict the development of physical education and health curriculum reform : educational thoughts, the enthusiasm of participating in the reform, the knowledge structure of teachers, the attention and sustainment of leaders, sports field and equipment, teaching managerial system, and teaching evaluation system; ⑤We should strengthen training teachers , change teaching idea, advance teachers'abilities, establish scientific and sound evaluation system, and elevate teachers'social position in the future. |
