Study Of Philosophical Hermeneutics' Values To Educational Research Methodology

Philosophical hermeneutics with Gademer as a key representative, inherited Heideggers' ontological thinking of hermeneutics, and analyzed and expounded factors and principles related to explanation and understanding, such as the circulation, tradition, power and effect of Hermeneutics. As the guiding ideas of educational research process, educational research methodology caters characteristics and relations of education researchers, research objects and research methods. When constructing educational research methodology, or reflecting external connections and internal elements of the whole educational research methodology, "explanation", "understanding" and norms in these processes cannot be neglected. Therefore, Philosophical Hermeneutics, as a kind of philosophical methodology, is valuable to the construction of educational research methodology.As for the main problems existing in educational research methodology, this paper sums them up as three "non-understanding", i.e., non-understanding of the property of educational research, non-understanding of the unique contradictions of educational research subjects in the course of research, and non-understanding of the unique contradictions of educational research objects in the course of research. Meanwhile, this paper perseveres in the idea of culture ontology of education, holding that educational problems are by nature subjective problems. Therefore, the process of research is regarded as the process of understanding, an understanding of researchers, research objects, research methods and their relations. Based on this perception, educational research methodology is a system of methods for understanding.This research discusses the referential values of philosophical hermeneutics in relation to educational research methodology.
