During the latest curriculum reform of elementary education, "Space and Graph" as the replacement of "geometry" was given systematic arrangement from the first year of elementary schools. It is innovational in the history of mathematics curriculum in China. It has been gradually recognized that space conception and geometry intuition have significant meaning on students' subsequent study, and "Space and Graph" plays more and more important role at the present day. How to compile "space and Graph " according to the new idea? How about the effect of the textbooks in practice? Absolutely , the answer to these question will have significant meaning for the new textbooks' compilation and the curriculum reform in China oThere are mainly two parts in this thesis:. (1) The research on the compilation on "Space and Graph" in elementary mathematic textbook; (2) The investigation about the teaching experiment on "Space and Graph " in elementary mathematics textbooks. The main results are given in the following:(1) The compilation of "Space and Graph" in elementary mathematic textbook represents the idea and requirement of the "Country Mathematics Curriculum Standards on Compulsory Education"; the arrangement of material lays stress on harmonizing the psychological rule and knowledge intrinsic logic; the expression to knowledge can be understood and accepted properly.(2) The "Space and Graph" in elementary mathematic textbooks can be easily manipulated in teaching, can provide facilitation for teaching.
