Probe Into The Ideological And Political Education Of Student Community

As the reform of higher education system goes further and the socialization of rear-service and the credit system are progressively executed, the concept of traditional class, which is the basic organization to study and carryout activities, gradually faded and the dormitory becomes the essential and comparatively fixed basic organization which replaces the traditional class. The student community based on the dormitory becomes an important place for college students to study, live and communicate and a complete new space for college students' quality development and ideological and political education. All the followings happen in the community: Students' self-education, mutual influence communication of feelings, political and cultural communication, communication and conflict of ideology and values etc. Students are brought into a comparatively open space by the socialization of rear-service and shall certainly be affected by many kinds of social ideas, some positive, some negative. The socialization of rear-service itself initiates a series of new problems and contradictory,contradictions which make the student flat .a place full of unstable factors and an important and difficult part of school security work. Facing the student community in the new situation, how should we educate and manage, especially how to strengthen the ideological and political education and make the community an educational base for molding students' temperament, with rich literary atmosphere and functions of "ideological education, instruction of activity, life service and cultural activities" and a position for publicizing scientific theory,spreading advanced culture and fostering students' moral awareness, fine personality, courageously exploring spirit and habit of studying actively, to ensure the stability and safety of the college? This has become a completely new project. This article makes some exploration on the basic connotation, meanings, content, main current problems of ideological and political education of student community and on the suggestions of its further strengthening.I. Ideological and political education of student community's basic connotation and significance: define of "community" "student community" "ideological and political education" and "ideological and political education of student community" and analyze the significance of ideological and political education of student community from the objective needs of college-students' becoming useful persons, the reform of higher education system, the essential requirement of the execution of the credit system, the internal requirements of the student community's development after the socialization of rear-service and the strategic needs of fostering successors and builders to carry on the cause of socialist modernization with specific Chinese features.II. Main contents of ideological and political education in the student community. Institute construct the main contents of the ideological and political education of student community from seven aspects: take the organization of the Party and the League as the carrier to conduct the political and ideological education of community with the ideal and faith fostering at the core and the patriotism education as the key point; instructors station in the community and launch the daily political and ideological education in the community with the basis of basic moral norms education; give full play to the function of the mass organization of student community and conduct ideological and political education aimed at all-round development of college-students; enhance ideological and political education on line with the characteristics of the virtual organization of students; educate and foster the studying concept, studying motives and studying habits with the very aim to build astudying-type community; carry out psychological health education with the goal of developing students' healthy personalities; strengthen students' self-education in the community.III. Main Current problems in the ideological and political education of student community. This article believes that there are five main problems in the current ideological and political education of student community: the stagnancy of ideology and education concept and unawareness of the urgency and importance of ideological and political education of student community, which result in the ignorance of the position of ideological and political education of student community. Rear-service department and goods and property managing company focus on "goods handling" rather than "educating people" ; faulty managing system, blocked working system and lack of unified and comprehensive managing system and working system; student community being mainly dwelled by students ,which triggers off student group behaviors easily; make little research and probe into ideological and political education of student community.IV. Deep thoughts concerning further improving and enhancing the ideological and political education of the student community. Make analyses from seven aspects, propose some feasible and constructive ideas and advice, and establish preliminary pattern of ideological and political education of student community. The seven approaches are: change ideas, improve awareness, enhance the urgency and sense of responsibility of making political and ideological education of student enter the community, establish new college students' ideological and political education system and working organization type, tidy up the relation between the student community's education management and traditional education management, colleges' (departments' or sections') class education management and rear-service and goods-property managing company, reorganize resources to educate students jointly, strengthen the building-up of community culture and controlling and instruction of students' group behaviors, improve the community working...
