The modern society is a society of information. It requires people with the ability of communication. So we can say oral communication teaching must have a long influence on developing the oral communication ability at vocational school. And it must have a very strong influence on seeking job in the future. Therefore, oral communication teaching is becoming more and more concerned. However, the quality of oral communication teaching is not very good in China. Because more emphasis has been given on reading, writing, understanding than speaking, listening, and expressing. The research of oral speaking is rather limited. The situation of oral communication teaching is very low at vocational school. And it has just been a stage of intonation and fumbling. So, how to promote the oral communication efficiently is the most important task in oral communication teaching at vocational school. This passage can be divided into five parts: Part One Based on the Haimusi, explain the characters, function and requirements on oral communication. Part Two View oral communication teaching from the comparison between China and western countries, we can see the distance between them, and try to find something useful in our teaching. Part Three According to the age of students of vocational school and the prospect of the future, we can understand the importance of oral communication teaching. Part Four From the aspect of practice, try to find the best way and method to develop oral communication ability. Part Five Point out all kinds of barriers in oral communication teaching. And only when we can organize our teaching efficiently and do our research for a long time, can we meet the spring of the oral communication speaking at vocational school.
