Content: In pace of the development of the techniques of computers, multi-media, telecommunications and networks, the ways of learning for learners have changed fundamentally. The ways from which they acquire their knowledge are not only teachers, schoolmates, books, newspapers, magazines, cinemas and televisions, but also the electro-publications (laser discs), networks, etc. are added and the information of knowledge they acquire from the networks are far more larger and quicker than that of the previous ways. The courseware, especially the network courseware is the main one of the ways for the learners to acquire their knowledge. The important characteristic of network learning is the learners' independence. So, to research how to provide an adequate resource for self-regulated learning, that is the courseware, is a focal subject in the study of network resources construction. But from the analysis of courseware found in the current markets and networks, there are still many limits in well satisfying the needs for individuality and independence of learners.This design-research put forward by the researcher, just intends to solve the problem of the courseware to adapt the needs of individuality and independence of learners from the scopes of learning theory, to the design skills and design procedures. The research has expounded the implications and types of the self-regulated learning courseware, discussed the theories of learning and teaching design, and the general design principles and skills which the self-regulated learning courseware must follow. In order to satisfy the needs of the learners' individuality, this self-regulated learning courseware has directed its design against three deferent categories of learners (i.e. juvenile, youth, adults) and meanwhile in design it has also put forward deferent design principles to three deferent types of knowledge (statements, procedures and tactics).For the network courseware, which is based on webs and as a main type of the self-regulated learning courseware, according to the design principles and learning theories of the self-regulated learning courseware, the researcher has put forth a basic model of design for self-regulated learning network courseware and has created a method for fast developing the self-regulated learning network courseware with the help of the sky network teaching system and also raised an assessment system to evaluate the self-regulated learning courseware.There- upon in accordance with the design principles, the researcher has exploited an self-regulated learning courseware —the courseware of furniture's and interior decorative materials.
