With the development of John Dewey's collated learning,W. Kilpatrick'sconcomitant learning and P. Jackson's hidden curriculum, the function of hiddencurriculum is known and affirmed gradually.The transition of China society puts forward a challenge to moral curriculum.Explicit curriculum has an active effect on improving the student's moral cognition, butit has limits to improving the student's all-around development in moral character.Hidden curriculum can acclimatize itself to the transition of society flexibly, having ahidden and dynamic effect on the formation and development of student's moralcharacter. It makes up the lack of explicit curriculum and becomes an important part ofmoral curriculum.This thesis is based on the primary school, adopting literature review and casestudy. Combining with domestic and foreign hidden moral curriculum fruits and thepractice exploration of Zhihui School, This thesis tries to make systematic andall-around study on hidden moral curriculum.This paper has six parts: The introduction, the first part and second part expoundthe times background, the meaning, the function, the characteristics and the theoreticalfoundation. The third part discusses the essential ingredients of hidden moralcurriculum. It includes the class atmosphere, the campus culture, teacher personality,the manner of teaching and learning, family circumstance and community circumstanceIn the fourth part, the author analyzes some questions that need to be noticed in thedevelopment of hidden moral curriculum. For example, curriculum purpose, theprinciples of curriculum, the mechanism of curriculum decision-making, and the methodof curriculum design and etc. The fifth part is case study part. The object of case study isZhihui School, a primary school in Shanxi province. In respect of hidden moralcurriculum development, this school has acquired some achievements, but it meets somequestions at the same time. These achievements and questions are used for reference forthe other primary schools.
