Research On The Developing Strategies Of Vocational Education In Guangdong Province

Vocational education, an important component of national education, is very useful to the development of economy and society. So this thesis focuses on the developing strategies for the vocational education in Guangdong Province. Firstly, this paper discusses the developing course and present actuality of the vocational education in Guangdong Province, and analyzes the existing primary problems. Then finds out four primary problems including too small scale and slow development, obvious area difference, lack of teachers, especially the academic. practical teachers, and unreasonable layout of professional setting. Secondly, analyzes the macro-environment in Guangdong Province with the method of PEST, and analyzes the opportunities, threatens, strengths, weakness through the method of SWOT. Then, based on the discussion hereinbefore, some strategies to develop the vocational education in Guangdong Province are put forward, such as changing the concept and right understanding the importance of the vocational education, increasing investment and improving the scale and quality of vocational education, implementing differentiation strategies, strengthening the cooperation between colleges and enterprises and actualizing forward integration strategies, reinforcing the management as a whole for professional setting and curricular system. Lastly, taking an example of one technical college in Guangdong province, analyzes its existing problems, strengths and developing strategies.
