With the economic globalization and educational internationalization, training bilingual talents is to become a new challenge in China's middle schools. Bilingual teaching is a controversy since the rising day. On one hand, many more bilingual teaching experiment areas and schools are being setting up day by day; on the other hand the query sounds louder one after another. What is the bilingual teaching? Why do we involve the bilingual teaching? How do teachers implement bilingual teaching? Different people have different views. Though the controversy about bilingual teaching remains to be seen, It has been verified in practice and theory that using two languages in some proportion in order to facilitate learning by students, who have a native proficiency in one language and are acquiring proficiency in the other benefit students in logical and social contact abilities It is Bilingual teaching that brings about an advance in pluralism of China' foreign language education and meet the demands of high-level foreign language talents, which has already obtained the common understanding. Under such an international background, in August of 2001, the author initiated the bilingual teaching of biology in Changchun, one month ahead of time when this practice carried on bilingual teaching experiment in Shenzhen Nanshan District. In March 2004, participated in the project of Bilingual Teaching applying by Northeastern Normal University, my theory of the classroom instruction practice has been improved. The paper refers to the following aspects: the background to implement bilingual teaching, the terms on bilingual theory, school-oriented bilingual textbooks, combining bilingual teaching and information technology, foundation of bilingual teaching assessing , bilingual principles , bilingual teaching problems, focusing on how to make the bilingual teaching strategy scientifically, and how to practice the learner centered principle. Conclusion: 1. Bilingual teaching can promote the overall qualities of teachers and students to a certain extent, as well as bring about an advance in the teacher's professional development. 2. The aims are to revise Bilingual teaching materials reasonably, choose the suitable bilingual teaching mode, realize information technology and bilingual teaching perfect combination, make bilingual teaching scene at biological classroom through the teaching assessing , lighten the bilingual teaching burden, improve bilingual learning efficiency. 3. The differences between students influence the development of bilingual teaching. Though the theoretical research of bilingual teaching, in our country, has made considerable progress, bilingual teaching is still in the process of experiment. So a lot of defects and mistaken ideas on practice and concept, are also problems faced in bilingual teaching. And the questions including teacher lacking, no textbook and environment lacking have influenced the bilingual teaching. Based on basis, the writer will continue to involve in the experiment to improve it.
