Chemistry is a subject based on experiments, which means that the chemical experiment and its teaching is of particular value in the teaching of chemistry. Limited by various conditions, especially the stagnation of the theory for the teaching of chemical experiments, the teaching of chemical experiments is at a disadvantage in the teaching of chemistry for high school students. In order to give prominence to the characteristics of this subject, and according to the demands for the reform of the new chemical course, an all round reform has to be carried out in the chemical experiment and its teaching in high school.This thesis aims to make an inquiry into some innovations and improvements made in experimental contents. While making an experiment, we should try to get rid of the negative part of the traditional experimental contents, which is not good for the development of the students. Bring in some experiments which are close to life and society for the purpose of practice. Make research into the teaching methods of chemical experiments. Advocate the inquiring teaching and let the students take an active part in the inquiry of experiments under the teacher's instructions. Set up a new knowledge structure and model, in the course of inquiry. Enhance the students' abilities of inquiry. This thesis also makes research into the inquiring teaching model of chemical experiments so as to enhance the students' abilities of inquiry and develop their scientific literacy. This teaching model is mainly divided in two, each of which is described with cases and forms.
