Cone curve is one of the important contents of the senior high school mathematics course. It shows the great function of algebra method in depicting flat surface curve and reflects the important thought of joining algebra and form together. But there exit many problems among the students in Lin Xia Middle School, where I am working. It has always been a difficult point for the students to master. This research wants to solve this present condition through changing the teaching method. Based on the theory of mathematical teaching and the characteristics of cone cure, the author wants to get rid of traditional teaching model and adopts the new concept of new. course to practise, explore and research into this problem by activity teaching method. In this process, an experiment was carried out to prove the teaching effect. The purpose is to guide the students to explore from practice and study from the exploration and ask the students to understand the producing process of knowledge, experience the background of the knowledge in order to improve the students' interest of learning mathematics and cultivate the students' ability of self-study and co-study.
