Managing a school should focus on the people and moral education is the top prior of talent-fostering. How to combine the teaching of "two lessons" with the implementing of "three represents"? How to introduce "three represents" into the teaching of "two lessons"? How to improve moral education of collages in the new age on the base of "two lessons" teaching ? How to better realize the function of the "two lessons" in moral education? All these have become a problem that needs serious thinking. Patriotic education is a important content in "two lessons" teaching in collage as well as in advanced cultural construction of the new age, it is also the foundational project and core of moral education in collages. Patriotic education is an important measure of guiding the students to build up correct world view \moral outlook and values, and is important for the fostering of innovative talents as well as the improvement of talent quality. How to construct a rational foundation for new-age patriotic education of collages under the guidance of "three represents" to push the innovation of it and better realize its function in moral education has become a common problem that needs serious thinking for the "two lessons" teachers, especially those who teach Marxism theory.There are 5 parts except the introduction. The topic of research is presented according to the actual situation in the introduction: to use "three represents" as guidance to construct a rational foundation for patriotic education of collages in the new age on the base of the Marxism theory teaching. Then, from the angle of philosophy, illustrate the meaning of "foundation of rational cognition" as well as its construction and the meaning of "constructing the rational cognition foundation of patriotic education of collages in the new age". In the first part of the paper, the practical significance of the research is discussed in 3 aspects. In the next three parts, the construction of rational cognition foundation of patriotic education of collages in the new age is discussed step by step. Part 2 is the first step, In this part, the content of patriotism in the new age and the currentcondition of patriotism is stated. Part 3 is the second step. In this part, what should be done about patriotism in the new age is stated to construct the should-be condition of patriotism. Part 4 is the final step which is to establish the blue print of patriotic education in the new ages as well as the method and procedure of converting the current condition into the should-be condition. The last part is conclusion: the developing trend of the youth is the tomorrow of China, there is no shirking the responsibility that the teaching staff of Marxism theory should construct a rational cognition foundation of patriotic education of collages in the new age under the guidance of "three represents".
