The promulgation of the standard of current high school chemical curriculum indicates the national reform of high school chemical curriculum has entered into a, new stage. In order to make students adapt to modern life and development in the future, the standard of current high school chemical curriculum focuses on the cultivation of integrated personality and the improvement of scientific quality of the students and sets up a new goal system which is different from the traditional exam-oriented educational system. The aspects of "knowledge and skills", "process and methods", "attitude and value" and so forth are integrated into the system.As a fundamental characteristic of the chemistry subject, chemical experiment plays vital roles in chemistry education. According to the theory of "For the rejuvenation of Chinese nation and for the development of every student", we analyzed the current situation of the chemistry experiment education. In this essay, we carried on preliminary research to the current middle school chemical experiment in the new curriculum by means of document analysis and experiment study. The results are as follows:1. The traditional middle school chemical experiment and its education has made certain contribution to consolidate and deepen the student's knowledge as well as to train student's experiment skills. However, it emphasizes the consciousness of discipline too excessively and ignores the question to student's scientific accomplishment cultivation.2. The experiment in the new curriculum is scientific, inquiring, applicable and keeping pace with the times.3. The experiment in the new curriculum has many important educational functions. It is an important process of acquiring knowledge, training skills, developing creativity and cultivating the non-intelligence quality for the students.4. The research on the experiment in the new curriculum is an important task in the cause of implementing the new curriculum theory into the reality of chemistry education reform.
