With China's entry into WTO and the rapid economic development in Guangxi(GX), the development of agriculture in GX comes to a new stage. As a result, agriculture vocational education in GX is playing a greater part in helping to deal with the worsening "Three Problems", namely, the problems of the agriculture, the countryside and the farmers. In this thesis, I attempt to do a research on how to develop the agriculture vocational education in GX. And this thesis begins with the essence, the connotation, the characters of the agriculture vocational education and the definition. By comparison, I put GX's agriculture vocational education into both the international and the national situation to consider and I arrive at the historical characters and features of it. By looking into the history of agriculture vocational education in GX, I've found that the history of agriculture vocational education in GX is a long, slow and twisted one. In this thesis, I also point out the current problems existing in the GX's agriculture vocational education such as poor enrollment, poor employment of the graduates, the conflict between the arrangements of majors and the development of vocational education, the poor start of its senior vocational education, and the unsteadiness existing in the division in setting up schools. However, in these two years, GX's agriculture vocational education gains a new historical height of enrollment. This is a hope, but there are still some problems. Therefore I make an analysis of the hope and the problems. I take agricultural colleges and government offices into consideration, and I believe the government should do the followings, 1, policy making; directing public opinions and wiping out the negative concept; to be equal to vocational education and popular education. 2, setting up macroscopical control and supporting vocational education; modifying the structure of popular education and vocational education. 3, getting wholly management and enhancing communication 4, setting up standards and helping to perfect the arrangements of the majors, sticking to the principle of " courses oriented", not the outdated " school oriented". As for vocational colleges of agriculture, they should educate skilled teachers not only good at teaching, but also good at practical operation. What's more, these colleges should speed up the construction of their practice bases, make good use of their practice bases, enhance the cooperation with industries, improve their management patterns and better their teaching facilities, develop degree education and non-degree education, develop international cooperation, serve and adjust themselves to the trend of agricultural business. In this thesis, I talk something about how to develop agriculture vocational education the in GX. I think agriculture vocational education is a must of historical progress and meets the command of the development of economy and education.
