Based on the real classroom teaching, this text will make an analysis of the different aspects of the teachers' decision making, and review the variables influencing the teachers to make decision, according to which analysis and review it'll make some suggestions on the teachers' decision-making to enlighten Chinese curriculum reform in the new century.This thesis includes four parts as follows:The 1st part is foreword. In this part the author starts from the teachers professional autonomy and empowerments to define the teachers' roll and position in classroom. As well it makes an initial analysis of the purpose for studying the teachers decision-making, and then elicits the studying topics in this paper. Teachers are professional decision-makers, and the classroom teaching demands a series of teachers' decisions, the influences of which will be made directly to the classroom teaching.The 2nd is literature summarization, mainly about the Chinese and foreign scholars' viewpoints on the teachers' decision-making since the 1970th. In his part the author starts from the definition of teaching to present the researches and viewpoints concerned respectively to teachers' decision-making, teachers' planning decision-making, teachers' interactive decision-making, and teachers' evaluation decision-making, among which, the teachers' interactive decision-making is emphasized. Besides, the author collects and analyzes some literature studying the relationship between the teachers' knowledge, teachers' reflection, teachers' professional development and teachers' decision-making.The 3rd part focuses on the individual case studying. In this part the author starts from the real condition of classroom teaching to study the individual case of the teacher, Wu Ying, tutoring English in some middle school in LuWang District of Shanghai with probe into, presentation, and explanation of her teaching course. In addition, the author makes an interview with Wu Ying so as to study the teachers' interactive decision-making from the classroom teaching experience. The end of this part is conclusion This part starts from studying the meaning of teacher decision-making to make an in-depth description of Wu's teaching decision-making course. Four sections are included: the 1st section is to initially probe into the meaning of teachers' decision-making; the 2nd section is to discuss Wu's English teaching ideas; the 3rd section is to Wu's thoughts and decisions in her teaching decisions on pre-teaching, interactive teaching, and after-teaching with emphasis on teachers' interactive decision-making; the 4th section is to conclude the other findings on the relationship between the teachers' ideas, teachers' reflection, teachers' professional development and teachers' decision-making.The 4th part is suggestionAccording to these studying results, the author makes suggestions respectively on four aspects as English course teaching, teachers, school policies, and its future research, in connection with the real condition of the current English classroom teaching.
