The Review Of The History Of The Development Of Higher Vocational And Technical Education Of GuangDong

The development of Higher Vocational and Technical Education(HVTE) is the inevitable outcome of the social and economic development. After reform and opening, the achievement in Guangdong's economic construction has been fixed people's eyes upon. In the economic circumstances, the development of HVTE takes on it's distinguishing.In the paper, I try to examine HVTE of Guangdong(GD) in historical aspect. Having collected, ordered and analyzed the historical materials about the development of HVTE after reform and opening, I find that HVTE of GD have experienced a complicated process. From the beginning of reform and opening to the late 1980s, HVTE of GD had made an early and short improvement; between early 1990s and 1998, it had been in wandering period; from 1999, HVTE of GD began to prosper day by day. The above is the first part of the paper, the course of the development of HVTE of GD.The complicated way of development reflects the mutual relations between the increasing requirement of education for the economic development and the present educational behavior. In the second part of the paper, mainly from the point of the relations between economy and HVTE , I consider the orientation of HVTE of GD in three aspects: first, cultivating senior persons with practical technique; second, educating people with professional skill; third, training high-level practical persons in service and regional economy.On account of the first and second part ,in the third part of the paper, I put forward a few proposals for HVTE of GD, dividing into three aspects: building up the system of HVTE of the sustainable development; collecting resources and creating superiority; perfecting the system of technical credential and the system of employment.
