Lifelong Learning And Life Perfection Of Man

The pursuit of life perfection is a subject in the history of human development, which has been studied for a long time but is still a new one. The precision of human brain as well as their ability to transmit experiences with symbols and to transform individual experiences to collective experiences make them stick out from nature and become "the favored son of God". It is not far away for us to be in a learning society and to achieve life perfection through lifelong learning. From ancient time till today, Eastern and Western philosophy has achieved great wisdom, especially wisdom of education, which has given distinctive analysis and interpretation to the perfection of life from different points of view. Through communicating with a large scale of literature, the author gradually understand that the perfection of life should not have a precise image, because it itself is a process. In addition, it is a limitless developmental process. As for a great person, even if he is better than ordinary people in every aspect, he is not perfect, because he still has developing space. As for an inferior person, even if he has no good qualities, he can still become perfect by persistent learning.Thus, lifelong learning becomes the focal point of this thesis. Lifelong learning, lifelong education and learning society are three interrelated concepts. It was for the purpose of countering the narrow and closing traditional education that these three concepts came into being. The features of lifelong learning as the coverage of all the knowledge and the whole process from birth till death reflect its completely different style from former education. Reflections on the three levels of family education, school education and society education, make us deeply understand the advantages of this form of learning.Lifelong learning is a kind of educational thinking stream, and at the same time, it is a process. Seen from the point of view of caring all the members ofsociety, the perfection of individual life accomplishes through the interweaving of intrinsic learning state, other-supervised learning state, vague learning state, self-organized learning state and creative learning state. At the same time, the rapid development of knowledge and techniques makes learning become a living concept for modern people. To be successful in competition, every one has to have the command of ability to study all life long.Theory must be applied to practice, or its truthfulness will be suspected. Law of Education for People's Republic of China has elaborated the important position of lifelong education and lifelong learning in China's educational cause, and thus it has laid a solid foundation for lifelong learning. The implementation of lifelong learning cannot be divorced from the support of the whole society. It is also a basic feature of learning society. The accomplishment of individual's lifelong learning is the prerequisite of the establishment of learning society. In return, learning society also provides good outer environment for lifelong learning. Learning individual, learning family, learning organization, learning community and learning government formed a living whole, which has promoted the all-round implementation of lifelong learning, and consequently make a firm step towards life perfection.
