Content: The 21-century is a knowledge-economy era. In such an age, knowledge has become the core element of production which makes it differ from the capital-based industry society and the soil-based agriculture society, also it is the key factor for the organization to advance its outstanding quality and rival superiority. The school is a knowledge-concentrated organization, where the most important assets are the teachers' knowledge that is the wisdom capital which Knowledge Management emphasizes. Knowledge Management is a vital weapon for the organization and individual to promote their quality and rival ability in knowledge society, thus they can cope with the challenge from the knowledge economy successfully through the weapon. In the same way, the application and research of the KM on teachers will be of great importance and meaning no matter for the development of the teachers' profession & quality, or for the promotion of the school's efficiency and rival ability. But what makes us worried is that most schools and teachers are ignorant of the theory of KM and KM on teachers. Therefore, firstly this thesis strive to summarize the basic theory of KM systemically, then we put the emphasis on the research of KM on teaches. To sum up, there are four main parts in this thesis besides the Abstract, Foreword and Epilogue. Chapter one is the Exordium. In this part, we mainly argue the importance of this research. Some important questions such as the analysis of global existing research fruit, the reason for this research, the content of this research etc. are all answered in this chapter; Chapter two is about the discussion of the basic theory of KM. In this chapter we give a systemic vision of KM theory based on the reference to much of the overseas and domestic research fruit; Chapter three is about the discussion of Learning Organization that is very correlative with KM; Chapter four is about the research of KM on teachers, also it's the most important part of this study. Although there is not much relative research literature about KM on teachers, we finally form and construct a basic theory frame for the KM on teachers based on our hard study. In this chapter we answered many important questions concerned with the theory of KM on teachers, such as "what's teachers' knowledge", "how do we apply the KM on teachers into practice" and so on.
