Chinese Ministry of Education promulgated "Teaching Plan of Senior Middle School Courses", in which they added Discussing Research Method as required course. Discussing Research Method aims to develop the students practicing ability and encourages students to blaze new ideas. And it is also the main method and the way to follow. As a New subject in educational course system, to start Discussing Research Method course conforms to the world education reformation. GanSu is in the northwest of China, which isn't an developed area. So the education basic is poorer than other places. Even though, the author investigated the situation of DRM managed to give some practical advise. And offered both theorical and pratical experience to consul.There are together seven sections in the paper.Section one: Foreword in which the author set forth this purpose, significance. Method and thought.Section two: The connotation, significance and characteristic of discussing research method.The author believes that what so called DRM is a way of studying. Which is suitable for students to learn any subject. To teachers DRM is a sense of education. Teachers showed follow the concept all through teaching procedures. And they showed change their traditional altitude of caching. Teachers showed help students to studying subjects by themselves, to research a point by themselves and to setter down problems by themselves. That is the final destination of DRM.Section Three: theorical basis and implement requirement of DRM. The other discusses the problem for with corstruchscal altitude subjectical aspect aspect and modern course method. And the paper provides the concept with the basis theory.Section Four: Supple the situation and background of DRM both at home and abroad, including Hongkong, Tai Wai areas.Section Five: Giving detailed investigation and analysis of Gansu Middle schools DRM" conditions and quizzed of 24 middle schools students and teachers, interviewed them face-to-face and got believable first hand material and information. He also analyse the diagram scientifically.Section Six: Generalizing and summarizing the experience and disadvantage. The result of investigation shows that most students are interested in this method of learning and students tried their best to make their research more smoothly and schools also recognize the activity successfully. Restricted aspects included government support, educational offices support, and parents support. And restricted aspects also include the conditions of inner school.Section Seven: Countermeasures and suggestions to start DRM.1. Enlarge social propogation.2. Strengthen drills and change teaching altitude.3. Develop course resource and encourage DRM.4. Organize the DRM system to make it develop better and better.5. Improve evaluative system.6. Reform present exam system.
