Online information popularization produces a great impact on education and learning. E-learning brings a great transformation to the old learning model. In this paper the present situation of E-learning inland and abroad was analyzed. Meanwhile the concept, character and theory foundation of E-learning was explained. The present situation of biology E-learning in the middle school was studied through investigation of questionnaire and interview. It was explored that countermeasure to promote the biology E-learning in this paper.The investigation and interview materials indicated that the environment of biology E-learning in the middle school has been ready tentatively. The students showed great interest and demand to this new learning model, and had the elementary capability of it. The biology teachers have possessed education theory for modern E-learning.However because of the uneven population of the network hardware, the backward resource construction, the lack of students' learning ability and space-time for E-learning, and the teachers' inadequate abilities for Online teaching, recently E-learning of biology in the middle school in Fuzhou was still in the beginning and developing stages. So, it was suggested that Education and management Department should transform teaching conception, strengthen circumstance construction for E-learning, fully exploit the school online resources, broaden space-time for E-learning; reinforce teachers' training and intensify the introduction to students for E-learning.
