By using such methods as documentary research, this essay does some comparatively systematic researches on problems of the cultivation of power of understanding in Chinese teaching. And it also tries to probe into the theoretic origin of the cultivation of inner understanding in Chinese teaching and its characteristic thus helping to guide its practice.In practice of traditional Chinese teaching, there are a few theories of "power of understanding", but most of them can only be explained as extremely limited perceptual experience. Moreover, there are yet lack of scientific and theoretic support and practical guidance for them thus causing difficulty to catch people's enough attention. With the rapid development of information society, more requirements have been brought up that people should lay great emphases on the comprehension of Chinese materials then to save on time of learning and improve the efficiency of learning. Therefore, at three aspects such as ancient Chinese education, china traditional philosophy and Western Gestalt Comprehension Outlook, On study, this paper summarizes the theoretic origin of comprehension, emphatically analyzes its characteristic, qualifications and tactics of its cultivation when in modem Chinese teaching inner understanding is regarded as a kind of advanced, comprehensive and aesthetic ability of comprehension and also focuses on probing into presentation of comprehension neglected in teaching reading comprehension and composition and analyzes methods of its cultivation. As the continuous development of educational reform, the cultivation of comprehension in Chinese teaching not only can solve the problem how to teach students to learn thus settling the key point of this problem "Teaching should reach the level-no need to teach", but also when this conscious process of cultivation of Chinese comprehension changes intonon-self-conscious, personal self-reference and self-perfect process, Students' personality will gradually be sound and perfect. The final purpose of the cultivation of power of understanding in Chinese teaching is just aimed at this.
