The thesis, which is directed against psychological barriers to communicate of middle school students, strives to make a systematic analysis on the causes of psychological barriers and probes into corresponding ways to deal with the situations at the angles of psychology, philosophy, linguistics, pedagogy, language culturology, philology and thought science so as to improve the students' ability of oral communication and perfect their personalities.The thesis has briefly expounded the definition and functions of oral communication and psychological barriers. Also, on the basis of summing up typical cases and analyzing the questionnaire results, it makes a penetrating study of the reasons which cause the middle school students' psychological barriers to communicate according to the characteristics of teenagers' bodies and minds as well as the influences of Chinese traditional culture , traditional Chinese education, traditional teacher-student relations and the force -feeding education system. Moreover , it probes into the countermeasures which help to remove the psychological barriers ofthe students.The thesis will play an evidently positive role in improving the middle school students' speech accomplishments and their communication efficiency as well as promoting Chinese language competence education in the middle schools which serves to further heighten the language civilization level of our society as a whole and maintain civilized oral communication order.
