Project learning, as a characteristic new course of fundamentals, virtually and intangibly lies in every school activity especially in the class teaching. Attempting to expand project learning in the teaching of specific subjects, this essay focuses on how to carry it out. It can be divided into three parts.Part I: Connotation and characters of project learning.A summary was resulted from different study fruits in the past two years or so. On one hand, it illustrates the connotation of project learning from a broad and narrow sense, defining it as a way of learning and research as well as a sort of activity, putting forward its two forms in general secondary schools: Project learning in teaching and the one as an independent course. On the other hand, it sums up ten basic characters of project learning.Part II: Necessity and advantage of practicing project learning in senior political discipline.Firstly, the necessity is argued from 4 points-requirement for the practical idea of modern education; teaching reform of senior politics; its moral functions and in the face of integrated MT (matriculation test) reform. Secondly, the advantage is explained from 3 aspects: teaching contents, teaching principles and teaching forms for senior political discipline.Part III: Organizing project learning in teaching senior politics.Firstly, this essay presents 3 types of project learning: class project learning, topic project learning and trans-disciplinary project learning. Their practical steps and requirements are also clarified. Secondly it gives its view on the guidance of project learning, i.e. the teacher should provide aids in ground knowledge, research method, way of thinking and psychological quality. And then with its characters, the essay points it out that process assessment (5 key factors explained) should be applied in senior political project learning.Part Iv: Principles and problems for organizing the practice of project learning in senior politics, the essay suggests 5 principles to adhere to and 4 matters be properly dealt with.
