Probative Teaching is completely a new-type Teaching method rising in recent years. It aims at students' stody, and encourages them to probe initially, which looks like the model of scientific research. Its goal is to develop students' ability of searching, analyzing and solving problems, and guide the students to pay attention to social reality and development of human being. It is not only for students to learn and master the knowledge.The teaching outline of junior middle school points out: " To develop creative consciousness of mathematics in junior middle school mainly means: having curiosity at mathematical phenomenon in nature and society; keeping on pursuing new knowledge, thinking on one's own, finding and putting forward the problems with mathematical viewpoint, carrying them out to probe and study. " So, the goal of my paper is to bring the initiative of students into full play in study, through teacher's arouse and guidance, and make students good at thinking, deterring and developing their working style of constant improvement and creative consciousness.What I have do with this theme: collected the date of probative activities of mathematics in our country; investigated the situation of carrying out in junior middle schools nearby; my practical measures in probe.After carrying out the probe, the result shows: the probative teaching activities have improved the students' quality of thinking; have developed the students' ability of calculation, being rid of sinking into the sea of all kinds of calculating problems, lightening students' load; having aroused students' interest and brought into play the initiative of studying mathematics. Meanwhile, it has improved students' quality and ability of raising, analyzing and solving problems. The students' consciousness of participating, exchanging, cooperating and researching has been strengthened evidently. But the result of the students in study of mathematics is not very ideal.In research of this theme, there is still some problems which are needed to be solved eagerly: now to make it efficient and orderly the probative mathematical teaching activities with different teaching content; how to set questions to examine the ability of probative activities, and comment on the standard of the students' ability of studying mathematics. These are needed to be probed and accumulated further.
