On Problems Found In The Elementary Education In Ning Xia Hui Autonomous Region And Its Strategies

Ning Xia Hui Autonomous Region is the only provisional region where Hui people live in China. Most of the Hui people resident in the south mountainous area. Since its foundation in 1958, much progress has been made in promoting the elementary education in Ning Xia Hui Autonomous Region. However, restricted by historical, economic and natural conditions, with weak educational basis, Hui's elementary education develops slowly, and there are still quite a few problems existing. This present paper illustrated the general situation, characteristic features, major problems and disadvantageous influence of Ning Xia Hui's elementary education. The paper made a deep analysis on the causes why Ning Xia Hui Nationality is backward in its elementary education from the perspectives of the developmental process, investment in education, direction of running schools, objective in cultivating students, religious consciousness, Hui's traditional ideas, etc.; Moreover, some strategies were put forward to develop the Hui's elementary education in Ning Xia.
