In the past decades, the research on educational theory clear focus on teacher field, which is important, but for a long time it is short of direct and lucubrate attention. It is because of profound social background. UNESCO held a teacher's status among governments especial conference in 1966 in France, which decided to accept the advice of teacher's status. The advice stresses the " professional character of teachers". It considers teachers as a specialty, not an occupation. Teachers must follow the specialization path. Some researchs clearly show that to be specialized in teaching, teachers must grasp necessary subject contents and teaching skills, possess a extended professionalism. It means that to develop the specialization teachers have to systematically research both themselves and their colleagues and the related theories of classroom study. To put it simply, teachers must be the researchers at the same time.Action research is a research, in which the teachers and the researchers work together in the process of resolving problems. It provides a contact spot for them to solve practical problems. Its purpose is to improve education practice. As an research method, it is also important to the development of teachers.The present research was made by qualitative research, which data collected by live observation, interview and objects. Our cooperator is a female English teacher in a senior high school in Guilin .She is carrying out a task research called "How to bring into play the principal part of senior high school students in English teaching" .The time of collecting data is from June ,2000 to February,2001; the way of collecting includes obversation, conversation and material objects.There are two thinking ways in the research. One is to describe the female teacher's research, by attending lectures and discussing with her and her students, ascertaining research task, setting down research scheme. The other is the present research of the teacher's study. It mainly analyzes her and her research. How did she research? As a researcher, what advantages and disadvantages did she have? The research creates three cases in order to carry out the whole process of researching. It mainly describes and analyzes L attempt "student ask and student answer " teaching method in senior English teaching in Casel .It mainly describes and analyzes L how to develop student main body through emotion in Case 2. It mainly describes and analyzes L how to deal with the problem of the differences of two classes in Case 3.Not all teachers can be researchers. To be a researcher, a teacher must have some conditions. These conditions include interior one and exterior one .The interior one includes education enthusiasm, tendency to change traditional education idea, research quality, individual character. The exterior one includes two aspects. The first is that teacher should provide various kinds of research resources. The seconds is that school must provide comfortable and democratic research atmosphere.
